Visiting Kendal Whisky Festival

We are delighted to be able to host the inaugural Whisky Festival right in the very heart of Kendal at the historic Town Hall.

The festival is split into three sessions, starting with the first on Friday evening followed by Saturday afternoon and evening.

The main venue for the Festival is the Assembly Room, which is located on the first floor of the Town Hall.

Lift access to the first floor is available for visitors if required.

Travel Information

By Car

From the south, Kendal is just a 10 minute drive from J36 of the M6. Travelling from the north and east, visitors can leave the M6 at J37 (Sedbergh) and J38 (Shap) and follow main A-roads into the town.

There is plenty of pay and display parking in Kendal town centre.

By Rail
Kendal’s closest mainline train station is Oxenholme – The Lake District. From here there are regular connecting trains for the very short journey on the Lakes Line to Kendal Station. From here, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the town centre.

By Bus

Kendal Bus Station is located on close to the town centre on Blackhall Road, just behind Westmorland Shopping Centre. There are many routes which pass through Kendal, heading north into the central Lake District, south into Lancashire or east towards the Yorkshire Dales.
